If you feel lost
If you're anything like me, you are a recent graduate fresh out of college, whether undergrad or master's, and you always feel lost and confused. If you had gotten job offers while in college, you are fortunate and rare because that wasn't the case for me and many people. This period in life is one of the most challenging, complex, confusing, annoying, yet transformational periods. I was and still need clarification about what exactly I want to do, where I want to be, how I want to do it, and when I want to do it. It's stressful to talk about, especially when you move back home and everyone asks what you are doing or your next life plans. You feel like you need to explain to people who ask about plans that you're figuring it out; it's almost like a sense of embarrassment because, again, when you see other people already have their plans in motion, you feel like you're the only one lost. But I realized that everyone feels the same way or is unhappy, miserable, and stressed about the future, but they are better at portraying it. This time in my life has been questioning all aspects of life, not only career wise but with relationships of all levels. But I have found ways to make it more enjoyable, and I hope these things can help anyone else who feels this way because I know exactly how you think. I'm going through it still today. It would help if you found things you want to do and have a goal to get those done.
Everything you were procrastinating, you need to do. Go on a walk, go to a new coffee shop, spend time with your family, see how your family is doing, spend time with your friends, go to a bar, run a marathon, or get a facial done, get your eyebrows done, get your hair done, take pictures to go outside, touch some grass! I strongly advise doing anything that makes you feel alive, empowered, happy, and full of life again. That's what I've been doing, and that's why I have this blog up today. Traveling is a huge one for me. Traveling makes me the most content girl in the world. Seeing another part of the world, whether just an hour away or 10 hours away, makes me feel me, and I'm so lucky that my eyes can see everything I'm seeing. It's unreal, but traveling helps influence your life and how you want to manage it. When I travel and see different areas, I feel more influenced and motivated to get up and go and get on with whatever I have going on because I see all these kinds of people. It makes me want to move there or live like that person, and it's all possible. Digging down, finding yourself, and finding what you value with what you want in life with every aspect will make it much easier for you. You'll be a lot happier. It took time, and I had to be so miserable that I had to do anything to get out of this funk, which gave me feelings like I didn't know what my purpose was in this life, but I could do it. I also watched many TV shows and movies with actors and actresses who inspired me. My favorite films empower me, and seeing their lives, careers, and stories makes me want to pursue mine. It also does not matter whether the characters in your film are real or fake. You can do anything you want to do in this life. I had to keep telling myself repeatedly that my dreams were reality, and I needed to keep my dreams alive because anything in my life was possible. I hope you find yourself in every way possible because you deserve it.
